MDA Precision LLC is a family-owned CNC machine builder located in Morgan Hill and we are seeking an organized, enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Machine Builder and Support Engineer or Technician. We have a growing, dynamic business with a hard-working, energetic team that designs and builds manufacturing automation solutions. In this position, an individual will need to interact with nearly all facets of CNC machine tool technology. Our ideal candidate is willing to learn and thrives in a fast-paced environment. We work collaboratively, so it it's imperative that this person be a team-player and have a can-do attitude. Strong problem-solving skills are necessary, as well as the ability to research and find solutions on your own when needed. This role will be integral to expanding our customer support and technical sales. MDA Precision offers a flexible work schedule including ability to work remotely. This can be a full or part-time role.

Primary Responsibilities:

Assembly, testing, and build up of various CNC hardware and software

Training and Supporting Customers using our CNC Machine Tools and Software primarily remotely and on occasion in the field.

Create technical support documentation.

Contribute to the ongoing development and QA of CNC machine tools and software.

Provide customer support over the phone, email, and in person.

Required:

Must be self-motivated, detail oriented, and able to work with minimal supervision.

Strong knowledge or aptitude for precision assembly, alignment, and inspection.

Experience with Electronics Troubleshooting

Ability to read 2D drawings

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Able to work in a collaborative environment

Must know Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Ability to travel domestically and internationally (<10%)

Desired Experience:

Proficient in at least one CAD software

Proficient in at least one industry standard CAM software

CNC control systems and electronics

Experience operating both CNC Mills and Lathes

Prior experience as Millwright or similar trade.
