GMP Materials Technician

Position Overview

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented cGMP Raw Materials Technician to join our materials management team. This role supports day-to-day operations related to receiving, quarantine, sampling, labeling, release, dispensing and inventory management of raw materials in compliance with cGMP standards. This is a great opportunity for someone with hands-on experience in a regulated environment and a passion for quality and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

Receive incoming raw materials and verify shipment contents against purchase orders.

Perform material inspections, labeling, and documentation in compliance with cGMP and Good Documentation Practices (GDP) standards.

Sample raw materials in a controlled environment for quality testing. Release and update each batch of raw materials’ information in accordance with the established standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Maintain accurate records of material movement and inventory using both electronic systems and paper base tracking (e.g., ERP, Excel and paper forms).

Ensure proper storage of materials according to defined environmental specified on the material specification and safety requirements.

Support periodic inventory counts and cycle counts.

Follow established SOPs and report deviations or non-conformances to supervision.

Collaborate with cross-department teams to ensure timely material availability.

Maintain a clean and organized work environment in material storage and sampling areas.

Qualifications

High school diploma or associate degree required; additional coursework in life sciences or logistics is a plus.

Understanding of basic Good Documentation Practices and warehouse operations.

Familiarity with inventory management systems (ERP or WMS) and Microsoft Office tools.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.

Strong attention to detail, documentation skills, and ability to follow SOPs precisely.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with pharmaceutical, biotech, or chemical manufacturing materials.

Forklift certification or willingness to obtain.

Basic understanding of raw material sampling and cleanroom practices.

Dispensing chemical solvents with respirator.
