Position Summary:
The Lead Delivery Driver is responsible for the final preparation and delivery of custom cabinetry and furniture and moving raw materials and products between our facilities as well as other related tasks. This person will work under the direction of the Finish Shop Manager. This position has a 3-month training period, the work schedule is Monday - Friday and overtime may be required (although rare).
Responsibilities:
After training, this position is responsible for the following primary duties:
- Understand the delivery goals and ensure you have all necessary information & paperwork
- Successfully make and lead delivery efforts.
- Load and unload large pieces of furniture and cabinetry with care and safety.
- Safely and respectfully drive company vehicle (box truck) to and from destinations and ensure vehicle is maintained and serviced
- Transmit paperwork, request client signatures and payment and return all to office staff.
- Coordinate transport of raw materials between our workshop and finish shop and from outside vendors
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Assist Finish team with sanding
- Assist with final assembly efforts
- Attend team meetings to review and discuss projects in process
- Visit project sites to aid installations efforts
Experience & Qualifications:
- Previous experience moving and transporting large finished goods
- Work well in a team or alone
- Experience safely operating portable power tools
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Professional appearance and attitude
- Ability to lift & carry 50 - 75 lbs on a regular basis
- Familiarity with metric measurements
- Excellent people skills: must be patient, flexible, calm & professional
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral

Physical Requirements:
- The ability to transport assemblies, finished goods, and other production materials (up to 75 lbs. at a time).
Total weight lifted per day can be 600 to 800 lbs. (possibly more at times, but infrequent)
- Other activities, including climbing, balancing, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, repetitive motion, grasping, and feeling.
