Raptor Scientific, a Global Aerospace & Defense Test and Measurement Company, is seeking a full-time motivated Electronic Test Technician who will have an excellent opportunity to develop their skills and career while performing various testing tasks. The primary focus of this role is to support the test group in testing circuit boards, electro-mechanical subassemblies and complete systems. A desire to learn and a passion for achieving excellence are required for this position. As part of our talented team, this individual will also be expected to assist engineering and be disciplined when performing routine and repetitive tasks. This position reports to the Test Engineering Manager. The ideal candidate should possess strong organizational skills, effective written and oral communication and strong attention to detail. In addition, this position requires good time management and follow-through skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet shifting deadlines.

As part of the Raptor Scientific Family, the RF Systems (RFS) group specializes in radar cross section (RCS) measurements and is constantly innovating to produce the next generation of radar systems. RFS has a multifaceted team that develops cutting edge measurement systems in support of the Aerospace and Defense industry. Our team is focused on customer needs and providing full spectrum support including engineering, field measurement, software development and manufacturing.

We are conveniently located off I-580 and Greenville Road providing easy access to South Bay and Valley commuters. The full-time hours for this position are Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m. and every other Friday 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. A full benefits package is available after 30 days. Salary Range - $24.00 - $33.00/hour depending on experience.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform testing of RF, digital and analog circuit boards per documented procedures.

Assist in the test of electro-mechanical assemblies per documented procedures.

Assist in system testing and validation of products prior to delivery.

Assist in the building of engineering test fixtures.

Assist Product Support and Electrical Engineering teams as needed.

Create and update test documents.

REQUIREMENTS

2-3 years experience as an electronics test technician in a manufacturing environment.

2-3 years experience in RF testing and tuning.

Basic knowledge of RF concepts such as VSWR, gain, 1dB compression and satura-tion.

An understanding of common circuits like LDO, OP-AMP, transistors, RF switch, RF mixer and RF amplifiers is desired.

Knowledge with using test equipment: power meter, multimeter, network analyzer, spectrum analyzer.

Quick learning ability and strong productive work ethic.

Self-motivated and ability to work independently.

Basic computer skills to include familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Good verbal and written communication skills.

Flexible and adaptable to meet changing needs within the department.

Consistent attendance and punctuality.

Physical ability to lift, push, or pull up to 25 pounds or assist in lifting large items.

Ability to be on feet for up to 6 hours a day when required.

EDUCATION

Requires an associate degree or its equivalent. Completion of apprenticeship and/or formal training is desired.
