This is a full-time position Monday-Friday with full benefits.
What you'll do:
-Assist Print Shop Supervisor with printing, collating, binding, folding, and distribution of materials.
-Performs bindery functions for print production
-Cutting printed materials according to specifications programmed in the bindery cutter
-Folding printed materials according to design specifications
-Sorting of printed materials to ensure that design pieces are packaged according to design specifications
-Packaging of printed materials to be shipped via USPS or FedEx to clients
-Supports and assists Digital Press Operators as needed
-Delivers printed materials as needed to USPS locations
-Prints shipping labels using Dazzle Designer and FedEx.com
Qualifications:
-Intermediate computer ability: to MS Word, Google search, basic databases, and printer technology
-Entry knowledge of press operations desired but not required
-A strong desire to learn all aspects of print production
-Ability to multi-task, follow through and re-prioritize well to meet deadlines on multiple projects.
-Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language used in the workplace.
-Must possess valid and current California Driver License
-Must possess excellent attention to detail
-Punctual, reliable, and hard-working
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent work experience
Physical and Mental Requirements:
-Able to perform all essential duties with or without accommodation
-Pushing/Pulling: Average weight 40lbs constantly
-Lifting/Carrying: Average weight 40lbs constantly
-Standing/Walking: Constantly. Standing/walking the majority of scheduled shift
Essential Functions:
-Maintaining a clean and orderly shop environment.
-Ensuring that all equipment is in working order.
-Ensuring that all printing supplies are stocked and available for use.
-Maintaining a clean work area.
-Performing general cleaning duties as assigned.
-Performing other duties as assigned by the shop manager.-
-Working with the shop supervisor to ensure that all printing supplies are kept in a safe and secure manner.
-Ensuring that all printing materials are kept in a safe and secure manner.
-Assisting with other duties as assigned by the shop manager.
