Pre-Press / Graphic Designer
Digital Prepress Technician / Graphic Designer needed in a fast paced Financial District based printing company. A successful candidate will possess the ability to design as well as print files provided by customers, setup files based on specs and artwork provided by customers. We are looking for someone who can work efficiently and professionally under pressure with minimal supervision. Must be able to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple deadlines simultaneously. The position is full-time with occasional overtime when necessary. Minimum two years experience required. Proficiency using InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Microsoft Office, and Acrobat in Windows necessary. Familiarity with HP Indigo, Fiery RIPs, Onyx RIP and printer-side layout/adjustment software, oversize color plotters, and high-speed digital printing equipment a plus. The position is full-time. Required experience:
Desktop Design: 2 years
Previous experience in the printing industry is not required but a plus.
Required skills include, but are not limited to:
Proficiency using Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Experience with wide format and poster printing
Interpreting customer requests and suggesting solutions to problems as they arise
Working with requests from customers for printing projects via e-mail, telephone & in person
Ability to learn at a fast pace and have no fear of taking on new responsibilities
Organizational skills are a must!
Experience with HP Indigo and press experience a plus
Familiarity with RIP and printer-side layout/adjustment software and High Speed digital printing equipment, project management apps such as Asana and Slack are a plus!
