We are an all-custom art & picture framing business, serving the framing needs of San Francisco's design firms, art galleries, and individuals.
We’re looking for a confident and professional designer to join our design team. You’ll be immersed in an environment designing display solutions while building relationships with our walk-in clients, gallerists, art consultants, and corporate accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
Suggesting appropriate frame designs for our clients’ artwork, displays, and memorabilia, taking into consideration aesthetic contexts, archival needs, and structural constraints.
Providing detailed and expedient price-quotes to clients, as well as accurate work orders for production team to ensure delivery of perfect projects.
Consistent display of excellent customer service and professionalism.
Requirements:
Strong communication skills – in person, over phone, and by email.
Ability to multi-task and stay organized with various projects.
2 years' experience in retail/sales environment.
Technical Requirements
Knowledge of, frame construction and framing design and proficient in Frame Ready software.
Proper art handling (paintings on paper, canvas, photographs, digital prints, lithographs etc.)
Ability to lift 30 lbs.
Computer skills are a big plus, particularly in graphics programs like FIGMA, Photoshop, Lightroom etc. and in Office programs like Excel and Word.
Nice to Haves:
Experience with large projects, Hotels, office buildings etc.
software to help client’s visualize project and diagram specs.
Knowledge of art history and/or contemporary art
Experience with large format printers
