Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced printer with expertise in large format printing, file handling, Adobe Suite proficiency, image editing and processing. In addition to technical printing skills, the ideal candidate will provide comprehensive support to our Art and Print Departments, ensuring smooth operations and timely execution of projects.
Responsibilities:
Production:
Organize and maintain digital image file archive, collect and organize print-ready files.
Create print-ready composite images from source files for printing.
Retouch and repair flaws in print files and upscale images into high-resolution print-ready files.
Scale and prepare files for proofing/printing, ensuring accurate dimensions and specifications.
Conduct color adjustments to match digital files to approved color targets or adjust based on input from the art team.
Coordinate and prioritize workload to meet assigned project deadlines.
Mounting:
Experience and understanding of a variety of mounting processes and substrates including, MountCor and Gatorfoam
Use a roll press/laminator to expertly mount large format prints on to substrate up to 60x120
Use a heat press to mount prints onto heat adhesive foamcore up to 48x96
Printer Support:
Maintain printers and print facilities to ensure optimal functionality.
Operate printers to produce high-quality finished proofs and prints.
Handle, conduct quality control (QC), and package prints for delivery.
Qualifications:
3-Year Experience in large format printing and file handling.
Proficiency in Adobe Suite, particularly Photoshop and Illustrator.
Frame designing experience with a focus on art handling is highly desirable.
Strong image editing and processing skills.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain high quality standards.
Effective organizational and time management skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and techniques.
