About Equal Parts:
Equal Parts is an elevated cocktail lounge and restaurant opening soon in North Beach, San Francisco — blending globally inspired flavors, warm hospitality, and a vibrant, design-forward atmosphere. We’re preparing for launch and seeking a seasoned Marketing Manager to lead our go-to-market efforts and shape the long-term growth of the brand.
The Role:
We’re looking for a creative, execution-focused Marketing Manager with direct experience launching restaurants or hospitality concepts. You’ll lead the full marketing stack — from pre-opening buzz and press to social media, paid ads, creative, partnerships, and community building. This is a hands-on role ideal for a marketer who thrives in fast-moving environments and wants to leave a visible mark.
Key Responsibilities:
Restaurant Launch & Brand Strategy:
Develop and execute the pre-opening marketing and communications plan
Define brand positioning, tone of voice, and visual identity in collaboration with the founders
Ensure consistency across all marketing touchpoints, from signage to social media
Community Engagement & Local Awareness:
Build local buzz through neighborhood partnerships, grassroots marketing, and event collaborations
Engage with North Beach and broader SF communities both online and in person
Cultivate relationships with local tastemakers, neighborhood associations, and event organizers
Public Relations & Influencer Marketing:
Identify and pitch stories to local and regional media outlets
Write and distribute press releases, announcements, and event notices
Source and manage partnerships with influencers, creators, and press contacts to generate authentic content and reach
Track PR and influencer outcomes and engagement
Social Media & Content Creation:
Own the social media strategy and calendar across platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, etc.)
Develop compelling visual and written content to tell the story of the brand and team
Produce or direct short-form video, behind-the-scenes reels, and launch countdowns
Respond to DMs, comments, and community feedback in a timely, on-brand voice
Paid Advertising & Campaign Execution:
Plan and launch targeted ad campaigns (Meta, Google, TikTok, etc.) to drive reservations and brand awareness
Test and optimize creatives, audiences, and messaging for performance
Track KPIs and budget across paid channels
Email & CRM:
Build and grow an email/SMS subscriber list from pre-launch to post-opening
Develop and deploy branded email campaigns for events, special offers, and menu updates
Manage welcome flows, re-engagement, and seasonal campaigns with clear CTAs
Website & SEO:
Oversee design and copy of a visually compelling, mobile-optimized website
Integrate menus, reservation links, press mentions, and event inquiries
Manage SEO basics and ensure consistency across Google My Business and directory listings
Creative Direction & Asset Development:
Create or manage creation of digital and print assets including menus, ads, signage, and flyers
Collaborate with photographers and videographers to capture content for ongoing use
Maintain brand consistency and elevate the aesthetic across all materials
Events Management:
Curate and execute special events, including launch celebrations, private tastings, industry soirées, and seasonal experiences that reflect the brand’s elevated identity
Oversee end-to-end event planning, from strategic concepting to logistics, vendor coordination, and guest curation
Collaborate with premium partners and sponsors to create memorable, co-branded experiences
Manage RSVPs, ticketing, and ensure a seamless, hospitality-driven experience for all attendees
Liaise with culinary, bar, and operations teams to ensure flawless execution and elevated service throughout each event
Amplify event visibility through targeted campaigns across email, social, press, and paid media channels
Qualifications:
3–6 years of experience in marketing, with at least 1–2 successful restaurant or hospitality launches
Proficiency with paid media platforms (Meta Ads, Google Ads, etc.)
Strong copywriting and brand voice development skills
Solid design sensibility (Canva, Adobe Suite, or similar tools)
Experience managing email platforms (e.g. Mailchimp, Klaviyo, or similar)
Strong understanding of PR and influencer engagement best practices
Self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments
Bonus: Familiarity with SF/Bay Area media outlets, food & beverage influencers, or local press connections
