We are seeking a EXPERIENCED BILINGUAL Legal Assistant or paralegal to assist in supporting attorneys with applications before USCIS and Immigration Court for a small immigration law firm's office in DOWNTOWN SAN RAFAEL.
Fluency in BOTH English and Spanish is required. NO CALLS PLEASE.
The right candidate will be responsible for working with attorneys in the preparation, filing and monitoring of pending family-based immigration petitions and applications with USCIS.
A minimum of 1 year of experience in the family based immigration preferred.
Skills and Qualifications:
-MUST SPEAK, READ & WRITE ENGLISH AND SPANISH FLUENTLY
-Strong customer skills, and previous experience working with the general public
-Experience submitting applications to and interacting with USCIS, or EOIR in I-485, I-751, I-130, N-400, I-765
-Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills
-Ability to work independently and proactively
-Attention to detail a must
-Ability to multi-task, learn quickly, and work with flexibility and ease under pressure
-Superb organizational and time management skills required
-Ability to keep client information confidential
-Passion for helping clients achieve their immigration status
-Interest in remaining with the firm long term
-Proficiency with computers and general office equipment, Microsoft Word and Outlook
