Job title: Receptionist/Office Administrator
This office is an established law firm of thirty-six (38) years in downtown San Jose, specializing in Personal Injury, Criminal and Probate litigation. We have an immediate opening for a full-time receptionist, with the potential for growth in the industry. The ideal candidate should possess a team player mentality, enjoy working directly with clients, and have excellent customer service skills. We hope to fill this position with someone who is self-driven and motivated to work in a law office setting.
The position puts the applicant in as the first-person having contact with individuals coming into the office, so professional attire, appearance and attitude are critical. The person taking on this position will have responsibilities that include:
Answering phones and performing client intakes
Scheduling meetings/organizing calendars for busy attorneys
Assist in responding to client emails and phone inquiries
Opening and closing litigation files
Processing all incoming mail, faxes and deliveries
Providing backup support for the legal assistants
In addition to having exceptional communication skills and the ability to work well with others, an applicant must possess the following additional skills:
Outstanding customer service skills
Minimum of 2 years customer service experience
Bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate preferred but not required.
Excellent writing and proofreading skills
Efficient with MS word, Excel, Power Point, File Explorer, Outlook, Excel, Adobe
Acrobat
Ability to pay close attention to detail
Skilled at multitasking in a fast-paced environment
Strong Punctuality
Well Organized
