Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage various aspects of a litigation matter; including but not limited to the organization of the case, development of procedures for computerized case management and organizational maintenance; organization, administration, and computerization of document productions; review and analyses of documents and testimony; coordination of paralegals and staff; and dissemination of case information to team members, clients, witnesses, consultants and opposing counsel regarding case status and coordination matters.

Under the direction of the supervising attorneys, conduct client interviews; develop and implement discovery plans; draft discovery documents, interview clients and witnesses, draft factual statements for motions, settlement briefs, declarations; conduct procedural and legal research, and assist in all aspects of trial preparation and trial.

Qualified candidates must possess the following:

-6+ years of prior paralegal experience

-trial preparation and trial experience a plus

-working knowledge and understanding of federal and state rules

-working knowledge and ability to navigate Federal and state dockets

-working knowledge and understanding of civil procedures

-knowledge and ability to accurately cite-check and Bluebook briefs

-knowledge and ability to use WestLaw

-experience in drafting discovery

-excellent attention to detail and superb organization and communication skills

-solid analytical, critical thinking and time management skills

-proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office, Excel and Outlook

-The ability and willingness to work in a challenging, rewarding, and fast-paced team work environment

-B.A./B.S. degree is required

-Paralegal certificate is a plus but not required

Lieff Cabraser Heimann and Bernstein, LLP offers a competitive salary and benefits package and an opportunity to thrive in a dynamic firm environment. Hourly range of $50-$60 an hour, or $90,000-$110,000 when working a 35-hour work week, depending on qualifications and prior experience.
