Seeking an enthusiastic, energetic, and experienced legal-assistant for claims-handling on workers’ compensation injury cases.
We are a nationally-recognized, AV-rated firm representing injured-workers under the Longshore and Harbor Workers Act. Our office is a small, informal environment in which the ability to engage in teamwork is vital to our success.
Candidate will be trained to handle files and obtain benefits for injured workers. Job duties include case correspondence (via telephone, email and regular mail), medical records review, preparation of written discovery, and all facets of preparing a case for trial.
Proficiency to Microsoft Office and exposure to legal case management programs are a plus.
Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, frequent bending, twisting and overhead lifting.
Salary is commensurate with experience and education. Medical and other benefits will be provided after three-months in addition to salary review.
