Small PI firm with offices in Pasadena and Concord seeks Mid-level Full time Litigation assistant to assist Partner - EXTREMELY BUSY LITIGATION DESK.

MUST HAVE LITIGATION EXPERIENCE - NO EXCEPTIONS.

40 hours a week

Duties:

- Phones

- Manage and maintain calendar management, billing, case management database.

- Organizes legal files and documents.

- Court filing

- Communicates with clients and opposing counsel, obtain information and prepare reports.

- Drafts routine documents and correspondence, pleadings, discovery, etc.

- Reviews, summarizes and analyzes court documents, pleadings and discovery received, client documents, medical records, etc;

- Prepares and draft responses in litigation matters and compiles responses to document requests under supervision.

- Performs administrative duties; schedules meetings, maintains calendar and travel

- Prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, and follow through on issues in a timely manner.

- Assist with trial prep

- Ability to work within a team

Qualifications

- Some college. - College degree preferred.

- 3 + years LEGAL and Litigation office experience required. - Personal injury experience required.

Knowledge & Skills

- Detail‐oriented; proficiency in establishing and maintaining client files

- High degree of personal integrity, discretion and confidentiality

- Excellent secretarial, clerical, writing and editing skills, and strong organizational skills essential to the overall performance of this position

- Knowledge and competence with personal computer to include multiple data bases, Excel, Power Point, and MS Word.

- Ability to work independently, accurately, and efficiently

- Excellent written and oral communication skills including spelling, grammar, and punctuation

- Strong decision making and problem solving skills

- This position requires self‐direction, ability to prioritize and excellent organizational abilities

- Ability to deal with clients and opposing counsel in a courteous and professional manner

- Ability to research and interpret legal procedures, statutes and regulations
