San Jose law office practicing Immigration and Bankruptcy seeks enthusiastic and detail-oriented team-player for entry-level associate attorney. Amazing opportunity to learn and grow in the position and practice area.
Duties would include, but are not limited to:
- frequent interactions with clients
- working on immigration, bankruptcy, and probate cases independently and with others
- assisting with client-intake
- working with clients to gather information and documentation for cases
- preparing immigration petitions
- preparing bankruptcy petitions
- legal research
- drafting filings with court
- representing clients in court
The ideal candidate must:
- Be fluent in Spanish and/or Vietnamese, both written and oral.
- Have strong communication and organizational skills.
- Have an excellent work-ethic.
- Have a genuine interest in the subject material.
- Be able to multi-task.
- Be professional and calm under pressure.
- Have an open-mind and willingness to work with people from all walks of life and all over the world.
- Be a team player and have the ability to follow instructions.
- Have initiative and be a critical thinker
- Be detail-oriented
- Possess competent Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel skills
- Admitted to practice in California
- Experience with Immigration or Bankruptcy law is a plus, but not necessary.
