Job Title: Bay Area, REMOTE Senior Plaintiff-Side Employment (Trial) Attorney

Szeto-Wong Law, PC seeks an attorney with at least 10 years of full-time experience litigating Plaintiff-side employment cases (discrimination and whistleblowing) for its Bay Area office. Experience litigating 1983 civil rights cases is a plus. The ideal candidate enjoys being in court and has a passion for social-justice.

First-chair trial experience is required (at least 5 trials).

Applicants should have solid litigation experience and must be prepared to assume an active caseload from start to finish, (i.e., complaint to trial), including propounding and responding to discovery, taking and defending depositions, drafting and appearing for motions, and making court/trial appearances. We are seeking attorneys who are good problem solvers and willing to efficiently manage a full load of cases under Partner supervision.

The ideal candidate will actively handle litigation cases and resolve legal disputes on behalf of clients by managing cases from inception to resolution. This individual will build and maintain positive client relationships and provide an excellent client experience.

Responsibilities (included, but is not limited to):

Providing legal support to clients

Managing cases from inception through trial and/or appeal, as necessary

Maintaining positive client relationships

Preparing legal reports and documents

Propounding and responding to discovery

Drafting and appearing for law and motion

Taking and defending depositions

Client reporting

Qualifications:

CA Bar admitted attorney in good standing

A minimum of 10 years of litigation experience

Strong civil litigation and/or employment and/or civil rights knowledge

Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills

Trial experience required

Proactive, responsive, responsible, accountable

Strives to create and maintain healthy working relationships with co-workers and clients
