Warehouse/Shipping and Receiving Clerk with Delivery Driving Responsibilities
We are a HVAC sheet metal pipes and fittings manufacturer looking for a warehouse/shipping and receiving clerk who will primarily work in our warehouse and shop, with additional responsibilities to drive our delivery truck when needed for local bay area deliveries.
THIS IS PRIMARILY A WAREHOUSE POSITION - Delivery driving is performed as needed based on delivery volume, which varies throughout the week.

PRIMARY DUTIES (WAREHOUSE WORK):
Pull orders for customers
Write up orders for customers
Work at our pick-up counter serving customers
Keep shop organized and clean
Load orders onto our delivery truck
Unload delivery trucks from our suppliers
Other warehouse duties as needed
SECONDARY DUTIES (AS NEEDED FOR DELIVERIES):
Deliver our product to local job sites and shops in our company's 26 foot box truck when delivery volume requires it
Note: Delivery frequency varies - some days have many deliveries, other days have few or none
PAY and WORKING HOURS:
Starting pay is $22.00 per hour with periodic increases as dictated by union contract
7:00 am to 3:30pm Monday through Friday (lunch 11 to 11:30)
Medical, Dental & Pension benefits per union contract
EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:
Must have valid California driver's license with a clean driving record and your own motor vehicle for transportation to and from work
Must have experience driving large delivery trucks (required for delivery duties when needed)
Must have valid identification and/or documentation for INS screening
Must be in good physical condition and able to perform repetitive tasks, lift, reach, bend, push/pull, walk, climb stairs, stand for long periods of time, kneel, squat, stoop and work with insulation
Knowledge of basic hand tools and shop equipment would be helpful
Must speak, understand, read and write in English. Speaking & understanding Spanish would be helpful, but not required
120 day probation period
Steel toe boots required
IDEAL CANDIDATE: Someone who enjoys warehouse work and customer service but is also comfortable and willing to drive our delivery truck when business needs require it.
