Superintendent - Residential New Construction

Seeking a Superintendent to provide on-site coordination for all phases of construction on residential projects Santa Rosa area

The superintendent’s role is to ensure whatever is required to facilitate the construction of the project on site from beginning to completion while utilizing best practices in safety, quality, schedule, and cost while maintaining relationships with our trade partners.

The employee’s primary responsibility will be for all onsite activities of a construction project ranging from start-up to warranty walk, including:

Maintaining the project schedule and establishing the critical path for subs and vendors

Facilitating and encouraging subcontractor coordination

Working with design team and owner to overcome challenges / unforeseen conditions

Reviewing all drawings, specifications, and submittals

Daily progress reports and weekly schedule updates

Manage the construction and completion of quality homes following OSHA protocols.

Manage and control all construction expenditures for each build.

Safeguards the job site from hazardous situations and material (per SWPPP).

Interacts with local governing jurisdictions to obtain all required inspections and approvals.

Expedites repair items within the desired time frames set by the Company

A portion of this job will be warranty work on built homes

Quality control, ensuring all subcontractor deficiencies are corrected and work areas kept safe

Driving to and from job sites

High School or GED required

Previous residential or commercial construction experience preferred.

Knowledge of one or more of the building trades (i.e. electrical, carpentry, plumbing etc.) combined with a strong knowledge and ability to read and interpret blueprints, and an understanding of code requirements would be ideal

An understanding of the technical aspects of construction including budgeting, estimating, schedule sequencing and industry best practices.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines with focus and patience.

Be able to problem solve in the field.

Valid driver's license and clean driving record

Physical Requirements:

This position entails field assignments where physical skills, such as standing, walking, climbing, visual acuity, and manual dexterity are needed. May require lifting and carrying materials and/or equipment. Applicable safety gear must be worn, such as safety glasses, ear plugs, hard hats, steel toe work boots, respirator, etc.

This position is an active "Bags on" full time position.
