Description:
We are seeking a Scale Attendant/Sorter/Driver to join our team at CalWest Recycling. The ideal candidate will be bilingual in Spanish and have experience working in a recycling center or related field. This position requires someone who is reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Operate the scale and accurately weigh inbound and outbound materials
Sort and process recyclable materials
Interact with customers and provide excellent customer service
Load and unload materials using a forklift
Drive company vehicle for customer pickups and other errands
Keep accurate records and complete required paperwork
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications:
Bilingual in Spanish and English (required)
Forklift certification (preferred)
Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.
Class C driver's license (required)
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience working in a recycling center or related field (preferred)
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Attention to detail and ability to perform accurate record-keeping
