Ranch Caretaker – Livestock Manager
Location: Knight’s Valley, Sonoma County, California
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to care for a small herd of cattle on our 640-acre ranch in Knight’s Valley. Our cattle are used for grass management to support wildfire prevention efforts—not for the beef industry or profit. As the ranch evolves, there may be opportunities to introduce additional livestock. The initial time commitment will be determined based on the current herd size and will be adjusted as more animals are added.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily care of livestock, including supplemental feeding, monitoring health, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
Follow established health, safety, and animal welfare protocols.
Requirements & Experience:
Previous experience working on a farm or ranch.
Hands-on knowledge of livestock care.
Physically fit and capable of handling the demands of farm and ranch work.
If you have a passion for animal care and land stewardship, we’d love to hear from you!
