Operations Crew: Landscaping and maintenance on large properties

Job Summary: The Operations Crew members take care of landscaping needs on client's properties. They also do a variety of maintenance for the homes and vehicles on the property. They do whatever needs to be done to take care of the home and property for the home owner. We manage properties throughout Sonoma County and business is growing.

The Operations Crew reports to the Operations Supervisor. We have 2 job openings for full time work. This is not a seasonal position. Applicants should be prepared to fill out a W4 form upon employment. We offer competitive pay and 2 weeks paid personal time a year that is accrued as you work.

Job Responsibilities: The following list is a sample of what we do.

- Planting and maintaining landscape plants and vegetable gardens

- Maintaining, pruning, spraying and harvesting fruit trees

- Maintaining and harvesting olive trees

- Trimming trees

- Splitting wood for firewood, making kindling

- Cleaning outdoor furniture. Putting out pillows

- Preparing area for owners and guests

- Washing and detailing cars

- Managing burn piles

- Clearing brush

- Power washing cement

- Cleaning gutters

- Digging trenches

- Cleaning chicken coops

- Building and repairing wire fences

Qualifications & Skills

- Fluent in Spanish including reading writing and speaking. (Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Speaking Spanish required.)

- Have good transportation

- Efficient use of time

- Not afraid to ask questions

- Able to work with a team or on their own

- Able to move quickly and keep up with the team

- Able to learn new things

- Must be able to work with a good attitude and represent the company in a good light

The following items are not required but will be given preference. We are willing to train the right person.

- Experience working with landscape equipment: weed eater, blower, lawnmower, hedge trimmer

- Experience with tree trimming tools: Chainsaw, trimmer, splitter, chipper

- Knowledge of irrigation systems and parts

- Experience with low-voltage electrical including irrigation valves and timers and landscape lighting

- Organic gardening experience

- Experience and knowledge of common landscape plants and how to maintain them.
