Trim and Inspection Technician

Location: All over Northern California

Thorpe Design, Inc is a leading provider of custom home fire sprinkler systems, dedicated to ensuring the safety and protection of residential properties. With a commitment to excellence and a reputation for quality craftsmanship, we are looking for a motivated Trim and Inspection Technician to join our dynamic team.

Job Description:

As a Trim and Inspection Technician, you will play a crucial role in the final stages of our fire sprinkler installation projects. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all systems are properly trimmed, tested, and inspected to meet company and local fire code requirements. This position requires a keen eye for detail, a commitment to safety, and a passion for delivering top-notch service to our customers.

Responsibilities:

- Perform final trimming of fire sprinkler systems, ensuring all components are securely installed and aesthetically pleasing.

- Conduct thorough inspections of newly installed systems to verify compliance with NFPA 13D and company standards.

- Test fire sprinkler systems to ensure proper functionality and performance with the local AHJ

- Identify and troubleshoot any issues or deficiencies, making necessary adjustments or repairs.

- Document inspection results and maintain accurate records.

- Collaborate with installation teams to ensure seamless project completion.

- Communicate effectively with customers, providing clear explanations of inspection findings and answering any questions.

- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Previous experience in fire sprinkler installation, plumbing, or a related field is preferred.

- Strong understanding of local fire codes and regulations.

- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

- Strong communication and customer service skills.

- Valid driver’s license

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various conditions.

- Good driving record a must

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $20 or more depending on experience
