At Benji's Backyard, we are an off leash dog hiking business looking for our next hiker. We value offering dogs an opportunity to be fully enriched from head to toe and are looking for someone who wants the same for them!
For this position: we are looking for someone who has experience working with dogs in applicable settings, such as at a doggie daycare, dog walking company, training, and the like.
All new dog hikers are taught the skills needed to be a phenomenal off leash dog hiker.
We believe someone with at least one year of professional dog handling experience is ideal for this position.
As with all of our new team members, we will teach you about dog body language and signals, how to manage a group of dogs off leash, and the proper procedures of walking dogs professionally.

6) are an experienced driver and have a clean driving record
7) have at least one year of wxper nice handling with dogs in a professional setting
8) comfortable working with active and confident dogs
This job is incredibly rewarding, but also challenging. As we work through the stresses of issues that arise, we grow and find that we appreciate this job and our dogs even more. It's important to us that you can stay with us long-term, are willing to work even when you're not feeling 100%, and are friendly/respectful with the owners of the dogs.
We are looking for someone with full time availability between Monday through Thursday from 8:30 to approximately 4:30, but are open to part time options.
There will be added opportunities for additional income.
Experience with high drive dogs a plus
All Dog Hikers are provided a vehicle, competitive compensation, sick pay and retirement benefits. As an employee, you will be covered by workers compensation benefits, as well.
