Welcome Home Furniture Rental & Staging is a local family-owned business in Concord that provides furniture rental to local stagers in the area, as well as in-house staging services. We are currently seeking a mover to join our in-house delivery service team. As part of this role, you will be responsible for loading furniture from our warehouse in Concord and delivering it to clients of ours throughout the 680 corridors. We provide our services locally. On occasion we travel over the Benicia bridge. This is a Monday through Friday position, with no weekend work required. Normal working hours will be 7am – 3:30pm, depending on when all deliveries and pickups get done for the day.
In addition to furniture delivery, you will also be responsible for delivering lift chairs for our other business, Relax & Recover. These chairs are rented to customers for post-surgery recovery, and you will be responsible for assembling and disassembling them in the customer's home. This requires excellent customer service skills, as you will be interacting with the client each time. You will need to explain how the chair works and its features, and training will be provided.
When the delivery service is slow, you will cross-train in our warehouse and assist with other tasks. We are looking for a reliable and professional individual who is committed to providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities:
Safely and efficiently load, transport, and unload household goods and furniture in the interior/exterior of the home. Proper placement and arrangement may be needed- training will be provided.
Possess knowledge and expertise in packing a truck to ensure the protection of furniture during transit. (Blankets, straps, shrink wrap, etc. will be provided.)
Use best practices to ensure safety is being followed and you are protecting yourself from injury.
Build and disassemble furniture with accuracy and efficiency.
Understand how to carry household and furniture goods in a home to avoid damaging walls, door jams/casings, etc.
Must have excellent communication skills and maintain continuous communication with Dispatch throughout the day.
Cross-train with our warehouse crew to understand the in-house processes.
Deliver lift chairs to local customers on behalf of our other entity.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle/truck.
Follow all traffic laws and regulations.
Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.

Requirements:
Valid driver's license (non-CDL)
Clean driving record
Previous experience in moving preferred, training is available.
Physical strength & stamina and ability to lift heavy objects.
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Customer service-oriented mindset
Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
Must be reliable and punctual.
