Construction Helper / Driver (Entry Level Position)

Are you ready to roll up your sleeves and dive into the world of construction? We're on the hunt for a Construction Helper / Driver to join our dynamic team! As a vital contributor to both our residential construction and warehouse teams, you will play a central role in upholding the impeccable state of our job sites while providing indispensable support across a wide range of construction tasks.

The Construction Helper undertakes various residential construction tasks, operating under the supervision of the Project Manager or Warehouse Manager (when engaged in a driver or warehouse role). This role encompasses transportation of materials, job site cleanliness, debris removal, and participation in simple construction activities.

This role will drive to various job sites to clean and remove debris from the job site on an as needed basis. MUST HAVE A CLEAN DRIVING RECORD.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

· Transports construction materials to, from, and within job sites, as required and as instructed by the Project Manager or other construction staff on site

· May run construction related errands

· Helps keep the job site clean and free of hazardous obstacles or materials

· Drives company dump truck / vehicle as needed

· Completes basic construction tasks as directed for client property projects, such as demolition assistance, site tidying, material transportation, waste disposal, and aiding in cabinet/counter installations

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: N/A

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Will be at construction/remodeling sites where there is dirt, dust, potentially hazardous conditions, and a loud work environment. May work outside and be exposed to weather.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:

· Frequently required to stoop, kneel, climb and lift up to 50 pounds. This position entails heavy physical demands.

· Must be able to stand for long periods of time

· Handle and use tools, equipment, products, and materials as required to support client projects

POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK: This is a full-time position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday-Friday, 7am-3pm.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

· Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Must also possess valid auto insurance

· Must have a minimum of 1-2 years of construction trade experience

· Must own and operate standard construction-related tools and devices (e.g. saws, drills, hammers, nail guns, etc.)

· Must have a “can do” and positive attitude

· Must be able to take direction and act upon requests in a timely and complete manner

· Must possess working knowledge of industry safety requirements

· Must possess good mathematical skills

· Must possess good communication skills

· Must have a HS Diploma or equivalent

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

· First Aid / CPR Certified. Education will be provided for this position
