Busy family seeks an outgoing, kind-hearted self-starter to fill NANNY / CAREGIVER part time role.
Start Date: August 2024
Location: Mill Valley, Marin (Tam Valley)
Children: 9 (G), 12 (B), 15 (G) - mainly help with 9 and 12-year olds but occasional rides for 15-year-old as needed
Salary: $28/hr
Hours: Minimum 14 hours per week with opportunity for more.
Minimum Schedule: Tuesday 1:30 - 7:30 pm; Thursday 1:30 - 9:30 pm; We would also look for occasional help on Mondays and Wednesdays if your schedule permits.
- Also looking for occasional overnights & weekend help with advanced notice.
- We travel often with the kids so typically give 1 - 2 weeks off over Christmas and 1 - 2 separate weeks during spring. You would have all major holidays off.
Summer: Summer schedule would be a different schedule. For this summer, we are looking for someone who could do a different schedule before school starts between July 29th and August 21st working most weekdays during working hours and then would switch to the permanent schedule once school starts on August 22nd. This is not a requirement as we can likely find others who can cover but would be nice if it can all be the same person (e.g., a COM student).
Duties: Driving Children to & from school / activities; Homework Help; Dinner Prep; Run Errands (e.g., grocery shopping, post office, dry cleaning, birthday party presents, help kids pack for trips and household event prep); Family Calendar and Activity management; Household Organization & Tidying as needed (we have a house cleaner so this would be light).
Requirements:
- Valid Driver’s License (own vehicle preferred)
- Excellent references
- Strong preference for minimum one school year commitment
- Positive discipline approach and ability to set boundaries with the kids
- Individual must be organized, communicative, and pro-active and honest, trustworthy and transparent
Who we are: Both parents have demanding professional jobs with work schedules that require travel. We have had nannies for many years. Looking for trustworthy, kind and reliable presence to help support the family unit.
