Korbel Champagne Cellars, located in the picturesque Russian River Valley, has been a long-standing California Champagne establishment in Sonoma County since 1882. With thousands of tourists visiting every year, our winery is nothing short of a beautiful and informative winetasting and culinary experience for every customer who walks on our property.

Our Human Resources Department is seeking a resourceful, enthusiastic Human Resources Representative to contribute to our team at our beautiful Guerneville location. Your primary focus will be to oversee accurate time entry via our timekeeping system and interface with our Payroll Department to review payroll processing reports for accuracy. You’ll also have the opportunity to assist our employees with their timecard, payroll and benefit questions and collaborate with a supportive team of co-workers in taking on projects within the department.

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional analytical problem-solving skills, with the ability to see a project through to completion. A strong knowledge and desire to stay up to date with current labor laws and payroll trends is essential to this role. Excellent computer skills, including MS Word, Outlook and Excel is also required. Experience in UKG is preferred. We are considering candidates with a bachelor’s degree in human resources/related field, or the equivalent experience; minimum of 2-5 years in Human Resources and Payroll.

This is an hourly, full-time position, Monday-Friday 8-4:30 p.m. on-site in our Guerneville office. The hourly pay scale is $29.78-$40.22.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Prepare bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll change memos, which inform the Payroll Administrator of any wage changes, hires, terminations, benefit changes, etc. affecting the upcoming pay cycle.

Generate employee status changes (hiring, terminations, rate changes) and enter into our HRIS system.

Process garnishment wage orders, communicating with the affected employee and garnishing agency.

Prepare manual payroll check requests outside of the regular pay cycle.

Respond to unemployment claims and benefit audit forms received from the EDD.

Audit and update PTO accruals in the HRIS system and distribute to employees and management monthly.

Prepare and update EEO information in HRIS system and file annual online EEO-1 with the EEOC, in addition Cal Pay data report and other required reporting.

Assess the reporting and data management needs for the HR Department and work with partners in the IT Department to develop needed reports and programs.

Assist employees with payroll, unemployment and benefit questions.

Work with department managers to evaluate and update policies and procedures as needed.

Assist team members with departmental projects as needed.
