Human Resources Manager

The on-site Human Resources Manager will facilitate delivery of all aspects of HR services, including but not limited to employee relations, recruiting, on-boarding, performance management, payroll and benefits, employee engagement, and employee success.

The HR Manager will work directly with the leadership team to provide coaching and support on HR matters. The HR Manager serves as the primary point of contact for all employees.

The role will provide critical input and feedback regarding employee engagement and identify and propose opportunities for organizational enhancements. The HR Manager will collaborate with team members to work on, Employee Development, Talent Acquisition, and Diversity/Equity/Inclusion and manage and implement initiatives.

The HR Manager must possess strong communication skills and the ability to effectively manage the balance of urgent and long-term tasks. Total discretion is required with all confidential information. This person serves as an advocate for the employee and will be a role model for company values and culture.

Responsibilities:

Establish and maintain ongoing connections with all team members, providing feedback to leadership on issues and concerns with a focus on employee experience and retention.

Benefits administration including open enrollment, new hire benefits orientation/enrollments, process all mid-year changes for Company benefit plans, assist employees with benefit-related inquiries and facilitate communication with benefit providers.

Process payroll and personnel changes and updates as needed in the payroll system. Ensure accuracy of payroll information on a bi-weekly basis.

Partner with leadership and Safety to manage, communicate, and steward various Human Resources and company policies and programs.

Partner with leadership on employment issues and decisions, including employee relations, disciplinary, and termination decisions, ensuring adherence to company policy and compliance with relevant federal, state, and local laws and regulations, where applicable.

Alongside leadership, identify initiatives to enhance employee retention, inclusion, and connection to our company culture, including but not limited to employee surveys, and team events and team building opportunities.

Partner and coach team leaders during the annual performance assessment and individual development planning process, and during the quarterly promotion process.

Ensure a successful onboarding experience for new employees.

Support the annual salary and bonus administration.

Required Qualifications:

At least 5 years Human Resources experience with progressive role growth, or similar combination of HR-specific education and experience

Discretion in the handling of sensitive situations and ability to handle highly confidential data with integrity and professionalism.

Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

Ability to work independently while being able to collaborate in a cross-functional team environment.

Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the company.

Able to negotiate and resolve issues with diplomacy.

Ability to build rapport and trust with a genuine care for people.

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to comprehend the issue, identify the appropriate resources, and resolve issues to satisfaction.

Can meet deadlines with high attention to detail, accuracy, and timeliness.

Thorough understanding of local, state, and federal laws pertaining to labor and HR practices

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Work is performed in a professional office environment and possibly on job site locations. The role is stationary, often standing or sitting for long periods of time. Job will require walking job sites as needed. Utilize standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, etc. Communication with internal and external contacts, including speaking and hearing. May occasionally push, pull, or lift up to 25 lbs.
