Full Time-Veterinary Assistant/R.V.T. wanted-Experience preferred but not necessary.
We are seeking a Veterinary Assistant or R.V.T. for our busy multi doctor practice in located in Boulder Creek in the Santa Cruz Mountains to join our team.

Our Veterinary Assistant/R.V.T. sets the tone for the practice as we build and maintain each customers trust and confidence in our abilities.
The Veterinary Assistant/R.V.T. is responsible for:
-Cross trained in all aspects of the clinic
-Customer interactions, including: greeting visitors, answering telephones, and guiding clients and their pets to exam rooms.
-Scheduling and confirming appointments.
-Placing outbound calls for follow-ups and reaching out to prospective clients.
-Checking in/out clients, presenting and explaining fees, including processing payments.
-Computer knowledge is a must!
-Cross trained to work front and back
-Recommending, selecting, and obtaining products and services, including prescriptions along side a doctor.
-Answering questions regarding products and services, including educating clients on general animal care and non-medical pet care (i.e., vaccine schedules, heartworm prevention, housebreaking, and flea & tick control).
-Managing medical records, charts, reports and correspondence.
-Must be able to work under high stress and sometimes fast paced conditions as well as multi-task and prioritize.
-Hospital maintenance (including removal of animal waste and bio-hazards) and ensuring that facility is neat and clean at all times—both inside and outside.
-Venipuncture
-IV Catheter placement
-X-Rays
-Patient care of hospitalized animals
-Surgical assisting (based on experience)
-Doctor assisting
-administering vaccines and much more
wage based on experience
