Job Title: Dental Sterilization Technician

Key Responsibilities
Clean, disinfect, sterilize, and organize dental instruments using autoclaves, ultrasonic cleaners, and approved sterilization protocols.
Operate and maintain sterilization equipment; conduct biological and chemical testing, monitor cycles, and keep accurate logs
Wrap, label, and prepare instrument trays for upcoming procedures; assist with treatment room setups and turnovers.
Manage inventory: track, restock, and order sterilization and clinical supplies as needed.
Maintain strict compliance with OSHA and CDC infection control guidelines.
Support the dental team by collaborating with assistants, hygienists, and clinical staff.
Perform other duties as assigned, including treatment room cleaning and basic clerical or clinical support.
Qualifications
Prior experience in dental or medical sterilization not required; on-the-job training may be available.
Knowledge of dental instruments, sterilization, best practices, and infectious control standards (OSHA, CDC).
Strong attention to detail, solid organizational skills, and ability to follow precise protocols.
Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities; flexibility and reliability are essential.
High School work permit, if required.
Hepatitis B Vaccine
Must complete 8 hour OSHA Training
Physical Demands & Work Environment
Fast-paced, hands-on role requiring frequent standing, walking, bending, and fine motor work.
Regular handling of sterilization chemicals and potential exposure to biohazardous materials—strict PPE use and safety adherence required.
