We are seeking a compassionate, responsible, and reliable individual to provide part-time live in care to an elderly dementia patient in San Francisco.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and diaper changing.
Assist with medication management and ensure timely administration.
Prepare and serve meals, adhering to any dietary restrictions.
Provide companionship and engage in activities that promote mental and emotional well-being.
Assist with light housekeeping tasks, including laundry, cleaning, and organizing.
Monitor the health and well-being of the individual, reporting any concerns to family members.
Accompany the individual to medical appointments or social outings, as needed.
Qualifications:
At least 5 years experience as a live-in caregiver (we will not be considering applicants that only have experience in assisted living facilities)
Exeperience specifically with dementia patients and familiar with diabetes.
Flexible schedule, ability to work throughout the week and weekends when neccesary.
Ability to perform caregiving duties with respect, compassion, and patience, and energy!
Strong communication skills and the ability to follow care plans.
Reliable and trustworthy with a strong sense of responsibility.
Ability to cook basic, healthy meals based on his diet.
Schedule:
Part-time position with flexibility in hours.
Ability to work for 1-2 weeks full time twice a year.
Weekend availability required.
Room and board provided.
We will be paying on both a daily and hourly rate depending on schedule – full 24 hours will be $385 a day and hourly rate will range from $16-$20 depending on experience.
