Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Surgery Scheduler / Back Office Employee to join our dynamic medical office in Sonoma, CA. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the scheduling of surgical procedures, ensuring that all necessary documentation is completed accurately and efficiently. Responsibilities
- Schedule surgical procedures in coordination with surgeons, patients, and other healthcare staff.
- Review and verify patient documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Maintain an organized schedule that accommodates both patient needs and surgical availability.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding pre-operative instructions and post-operative follow-up appointments.
- Collaborate with front desk staff to manage patient flow and address any scheduling conflicts.
- Utilize electronic health records systems for documentation and scheduling tasks.
- Ensure compliance with health information management standards, including ICD-10 coding when necessary.
- Assist with rooming patients during office hours 3 times per week.
- Order office supplies and other administrative duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a medical receptionist or surgery scheduler is preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to enhance communication with diverse patient populations.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
