Job Summary


We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Surgery Scheduler / Back Office Employee to join our dynamic medical office in Sonoma, CA. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the scheduling of surgical procedures, ensuring that all necessary documentation is completed accurately and efficiently. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Bilingual candidates are highly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

- Schedule surgical procedures in coordination with surgeons, patients, and other healthcare staff.

- Review and verify patient documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy.

- Maintain an organized schedule that accommodates both patient needs and surgical availability.

- Communicate effectively with patients regarding pre-operative instructions and post-operative follow-up appointments.

- Collaborate with front desk staff to manage patient flow and address any scheduling conflicts.

- Utilize electronic health records systems for documentation and scheduling tasks.

- Ensure compliance with health information management standards, including ICD-10 coding when necessary.

- Assist with rooming patients during office hours 3 times per week.

- Order office supplies and other administrative duties as needed.

Qualifications

- Previous experience as a medical receptionist or surgery scheduler is preferred.

- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.

- Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to enhance communication with diverse patient populations.

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
