We have an opening for a Medical Assistant in our busy Integrative Medicine Practice.
Our practice focusses on integrative medicine treatment of internal medicine and orthopedic complaints. We use a combination of various treatment modalities with an emphasis on integrative healing over long time scales. We utilize functional medicine testing, nutritional counseling, supplements, herbal medicine, acupuncture, manual therapy, rehabilitative therapy, and emotional counseling to resolve complaints in diverse patient types and complaints.
This position includes administrative, medical assisting, and office management duties within a calm, quiet and healing environment. We believe that the healing of our patients begins with the very first point of contact. We value the place administrative staff serves in health care to initiate the healing process by connecting with patients and helping them feel supported and seen.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to make patients feel seen while carrying out the duties of managing the operation of a clinic including scheduling, receiving phone calls and faxes, and greeting and scheduling incoming and outgoing patients.
Certifications required include medical assisting, and phlebotomy.
Experience with apple computer operating system, Dropbox, Medical EHR, and Asana would also be valuable.
The correct candidate will be trained on additional skills needed including compounding of herbal formulas and tinctures and the administration of non-needle therapies within the umbrella of Traditional Chinese Medicine such as moxibustion.
Compensation for this position starts at $23.00 per hour with quarterly performance evaluations. Meeting the benchmarks for the first quarterly evaluation brings your pay immediately up to $28 per hour. A clear path for further raises begins at hiring with a pay ceiling for this position at $40.
