We are seeking a compassionate and skilled female Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to provide overnight care for a 13-year-old girl with cerebral palsy. This position requires a dedicated professional who can deliver high-quality care and support during the night hours.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct overnight tube feedings and manage g-tube button replacement as needed.
- Monitor and manage BiPAP machine settings and operation throughout the night.
- Regularly reposition the patient to prevent bedsores and maintain comfort.
- Provide essential hygiene care including bathing, oral care, and diaper changes.
- Administer prescribed medications accurately and timely.
- Record and report any changes in the patient's condition or any incidents that occur during the shift.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment for the patient.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals and family members to ensure continuity of care.
Qualifications:
- Current LVN licensure in the state of employment.
- Previous experience in pediatric nursing, particularly with special needs children, is preferred.
- Proficient in managing g-tubes, BiPAP machines, and other medical equipment necessary for patient care.
- Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate, respectful, and patient-centered care.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with the patient and family.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions in emergency situations.
