Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive dental hygiene services, educating patients on oral health, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. This position is specifically for Mondays and Tuesdays. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Performing oral health assessments and providing preventive care.
Removing tartar and plaque from teeth.
Educating patients on oral hygiene practices and dietary habits.
Administering local anesthesia, soft tissue curettage, and nitrous oxide.
Taking and interpreting x-rays.
Maintaining accurate patient records and updating dental charts.
Adhering to infection control protocols and California Dental Practice Act regulations.
Collaborating with dentists to develop and implement treatment plans.
Requirements:
Completion of an accredited dental hygiene program.
Currently Licensed as a Registered Dental Hygienist in California.
2+ years of experience as a Registered Dental Hygienist.
Valid CPR certification.
Strong communication and patient care skills.
Commitment to continuing education and professional development.
Preference for candidates with laser certification.
Schedule:
This position is for Mondays and Tuesdays 8:00 am - 5:00 pm with one hour lunch break.
