Home Instead needs a Flex Care Professional
for our headquarters located at 1 Daniel Burnham Court, San Francisco CA 94109
with a High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED)
Responsibilities:
● Provide companionship, home helper, personal, and specialized services to elderly and special needs clients, including, but not limited to:
● Assistance with bathing, grooming, toileting and incontinence issues;
● Aiding in the carrying out of daily living by preparing and assisting with serving meals, feeding patients as necessary and ambulating, turning, and positioning patients; and providing fresh
● water and nourishment between meals;
● Supplying adjunct care by administering enemas, douches, non-sterile dressings, surgical preps, ice packs, heat treatments, sitz and therapeutic baths; and applying restraints.
● Servicing clients with Alzheimer’s/Dementia, learning disabilities, and/or are in hospice care.
● Document daily activities by completing logs and reporting any significant changes in a client’s needs or living conditions.
● Evaluate and effectively communicate changes in care to Client Care Manager and Company staff.
● Assist in the training, shadowing, and onboarding of other team members.
● Maintain consistent operation and delivery of services by following Company policies and procedures.
● Update job knowledge by participating in sponsored training through company-provided online learning platform and maintaining state-required compliance.
Salary from $38,834 per year/ 40-hour week

Requirements:
● Experience: 60 months as Care professional, Caregiver, Personal Care Aide, Home care Aide, or related. Must have previous work with individuals with learning disabilities as an aide.
● Education: high school diploma or General Educational Development (GED)
● Training: Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia- Related Behaviors, Fundamentals of Person-Centered Care, and Understanding Sexual Harassment (trainings must show aptitude and commitment to elderly care or related)
● Certificates: First Aid and CPR
