A great shift is available right now! Settle into a stable, permanent full time job. We want you! Do you like to work independently in a unique home environment? We are looking for a professional female attendant/guide/mentor to work individually with two delightful different young women (only one at a time in their own home) with intellectual disabilities in their adorable homes in Novato, one-on-one. Just contact us if you are interested!

HERE IS THE FANTASTIC AVAILABLE SHIFT RIGHT NOW!

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 6:30 AM-2:30 PM

This is a support position with three different funny, adorable and likeable women in their own fabulous Novato home. You will only be with one person at a time on different days, not with a group. We love them and you will, too. This job is perfect for students, nurses, moms, or just someone who is caring, experienced, capable and wants to work. A caregiving background is a requirement. The job demands confidence and experience with responsiblity.

Since this is a residential situation with a female, the clients are requesting a female only for care, support and mentoring.

The Job: Companionship

The job is in Novato. Your clients have an intellectual disability and need guidance with daily life and care. They are walking, talking, laughing and charming. Your kindness, intelligence, required experience with people with disabilities, personal communication skills, cooking and organizing skills, energy, active lifestyle, sense of humor and common sense will serve you well in this interesting and fun position. The job will be engaging the people you support and using all of your talents. And you will be loved and appreciated by our agency!

You will be offering activities, adventures, engagement and community involvement as well as Supported Living Services to help these lovely people stay safe and happy in their own cozy homes and community.

You will be helping with some laundry, cooking, shopping, and some housekeeping, but not more than 20% of the time. You will engage in fun home and community activities that you plan, life guidance, protection, educational opportunities and daily plans. You will be working independently but provided assistance and training from the central agency, Little Red Wagon, as you learn. Your experience with people with disabilities is required, as well as your self-confidence, high energy level, strong cooking, organizing and shopping skills, professionalism, competence, toughness, and willingness to learn.

Your Pay and Benefits

1. You will be paid a training rate of $16.04 an hour for all training and meeting hours, for about twenty hours. This will go by quickly!

2. After training you will immediately be paid $22.00 an hour for the day shifts above, $16.04 an hour to sleep on an assigned sleep shift if you have one.

3. You will be paid .67 a mile for all work or activity mileage. For example: if you drive 100 miles during work, you are paid $67.00!

4. All event, movie, concert, event expenses will be reimbursed.

5. You will be offered 40 hours of paid sick leave

5. You will be paid 1.5 x for any overtime over 40 hours a week.

6. We also pay $20.00 a month toward your data plan.

7. You will be enrolled in CalSavers IRA saving plan if you so choose
