Salary: $25-$38 an hour, DOE + potential monthly production-based bonus

Hours: Monday & Wednesday 8am-5pm; Tuesday 10am-7pm; Thursday 7am-4pm; Friday 8am-2pm

Our thriving dental practice is seeking a positive and organized person to support us as a dental receptionist, as we are continuing to expand our team! We are a general and cosmetic dentistry practice who sees patients ages 3-103+! This full time position is 38 hours/week and comes with competitive pay and a great benefits package!.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES

· Act as first point of contact for all patients and ensure that all receive exceptional customer service.

· Answer incoming calls, receive messages and route calls accordingly.

· Schedule appointments accurately to reflect providers’ schedule and promptly notify team of changes.

· Manage new patient set-up, including record retrieval from prior provider, insurance information, and ensuring that general history and paperwork are complete.

· Confirm appointments through software tools and via traditional channels.

· Prioritize maximizing providers’ schedules through effective management of wait and cancellation lists.

· Ensure patient information, insurance, and records are up to date and current in all systems.

· Provide dental insurance verification prior to appointment, process insurance claims and troubleshoot when necessary.

· Effectively collect patient co-pays and balances due.

· Follow-up with patients to improve satisfaction.

· Provide patient support and handle communications effectively.

· Maintain up-to-date knowledge about practice services offered.

· Actively participate and engage in team meetings.

· Manage designated marketing programs such as outreach to dental professionals, contests, and promotions.

· Assist in maintaining the appearance of the business office area.

· Additional duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

· Familiarity with Weave, Softdent and Slack are a plus.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).

· Social media and marketing experience a plus.

· Organized self-starter and motivated problem-solver.

· Energetic team player.

· Clear and effective communication skills (both written and verbal).

· Exceptional customer service skills exuding a positive, optimistic attitude.

· Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues of all levels and build cross-functional relationships.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

· High school diploma.

· 1-3+ years of experience in a dental office.

· Knowledge of dental terminology.

· Experience with dental insurance claims
