We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures, ensuring that patients receive the highest level of care. This role involves assisting the dentist during various procedures, managing patient records, and maintaining a clean and organized clinical environment.
Duties
Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments, including but not limited to endodontics and pediatric dentistry.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following aseptic techniques.
Take dental X-rays and ensure proper medical imaging protocols are followed.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix software.
Manage inventory of dental supplies and ensure the clinic is well-stocked.
Perform administrative tasks as needed, including scheduling appointments and handling patient inquiries.
Uphold safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff.
Qualifications
Knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy is essential.
Experience with dental assisting in a clinical setting is preferred.
Familiarity with X-ray technology and medical imaging practices.
Understanding of aseptic techniques to maintain infection control standards.
Proficiency in using Open Dental or similar dental practice management software is advantageous.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Certification in CPR or Basic Life Support (BLS) is preferred.
