Interview Schedule:

Round 1 will be scheduled for Tuesday, July 9, in person. 

Round 2 will be schedule for Wednesday, July 17 in person.

 ABOUT THE POSITION

Under the direction of the Recreation Supervisor, the Recreation Coordinator I – Facilities is responsible for assisting with the smooth operation of activities, programs, rentals, and special events at multiple Recreation Facilities. This position requires a high level of customer service, attention to detail, marketing prowess, and event planning and management expertise. Mill Valley Recreation is a 7-day a week operation.

Recreation Coordinator I - Facilities schedule may include weekday, weekend, early morning and evening shifts. Schedule is subject to change depending on facility and supervisor needs. 

IDEAL CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate will have significant experience with the practices and principles of program administration, development, implementation, coordination, and promotion. In addition, the applicant will possess previous experience in recruiting and supervising staff, ideally in a fast-paced and dynamic setting. A bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in recreation, or a related field is desired. See CalOpps application for list of desired attributes, experience, and knowledge.
