Starting salary up to $50.82 ($106,067/year) and a competitive total compensation package!

The Alcohol and Other Drug Services (AODS) Specialist is an integral part of the County of Sonoma's Substance Use Disorder programs. This position will conduct counseling sessions, screenings, and assessments. They will use this information to develop treatment plans and problem lists, and provide referrals as needed while monitoring their clients' progress on an ongoing basis. Some of the additional duties include:

Preparing data, reports, and summaries for the team and their supervisors

Acting as a court coordinator to collect client information and progress in the program and reporting this information to the courts

Developing, revising, implementing, and updating enrollment criteria, policies, procedures, and program development

Acting as a lead with oversight of a small staff or treatment team to coordinate service delivery to clients

Collaborating with and acting as the primary liaison between contractors, courts, agencies, and other community partners

Due to regulatory changes, California Health and Safety Code Section 11833(b)(1) requires that any individual who provides counseling services in a licensed or certified AODS program, except for licensed professionals, must be registered or certified with an organization approved by the California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS).
