☕ Lead Barista Wanted – Run Our New Coffee Program! (Union City)
We’re Launching Coffee!
Don Julio’s Taqueria in Union City is adding a full coffee program, and we’re looking for a seasoned, self-motivated coffee professional to take the lead. This is a rare opportunity to build something from the ground up inside a thriving taqueria.
What You’ll Do:
Take ownership of all coffee operations (menu, recipes, quality, training, supply ordering)
Operate and maintain espresso equipment and brewing tools
Provide excellent customer service and create a welcoming morning vibe
Train and guide other staff on coffee prep and service
Work with ownership to develop seasonal and signature drinks
Ensure consistency, cleanliness, and efficiency at the coffee station
What We’re Looking For:
2+ years of professional barista experience (lead or head barista a plus)
Strong knowledge of espresso, milk steaming, latte art, and brewing methods
Self-starter who can manage operations with minimal supervision
Friendly, dependable, and passionate about coffee
Bonus: Familiarity with Mexican coffee drinks like café de olla, horchata lattes, etc.
Schedule & Pay:
Morning shifts (you’ll be the face of our mornings)
Competitive hourly pay + tips (DOE)
Potential for more responsibility as the coffee program grows
