Job Description:

As the Venue and Bar Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our events are executed flawlessly. Your responsibilities will include overseeing day-of operations, managing staff, coordinating with vendors, and maintaining the facility’s standards. This position requires a strong leader who can provide excellent customer service while managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operations Management:

Oversee day-of operations during event rental timeframes, including managing staff schedules, ensuring smooth transitions from load-in to load-out, and addressing any operational challenges.

2. Event Coordination:

Familiarize yourself with event details in TripleSeat. Review BEOs and notes, manage day-of changes, coordinate logistics, and ensure client expectations are met.

3. Customer Service:

Deliver exceptional customer service to clients, guests, and vendors. Resolve issues promptly and ensure a positive experience for all stakeholders.

4. Staff Management:

Lead and manage venue staff, including coordinators, servers, bar staff, security personnel, and maintenance workers. Ensure tasks are completed to standard and provide direction as needed.

5. Financial Management:

Monitor and manage staff hours, control supply usage, and maximize profitability by upselling additional products/services during events.

6. Facility Maintenance:

Ensure the venue is clean, safe, and well-maintained. Oversee routine maintenance tasks and document any issues requiring follow-up.

7. Vendor Management:

Establish and maintain relationships with vendors during events. Coordinate with caterers, decorators, audiovisual technicians, and equipment rental companies.

8. Compliance and Regulations:

Ensure compliance with local regulations, permits, licenses, and industry standards related to venue operations, safety, alcohol service, and accessibility.

9. Event Sales:

Promote the venue to potential clients and secure leads for future events.

10. Risk Management:

Identify potential risks and implement measures to mitigate them. Be familiar with emergency response plans and ensure client and guest safety.

11. Community Engagement:

Build and maintain positive relationships with the local community, neighboring businesses, and industry partners to enhance the venue’s reputation and visibility.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in event or venue management.

Strong leadership and customer service skills.

Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

Familiarity with TripleSeat or similar event management software is a plus.

Ability to manage a diverse team and work in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge of local regulations and compliance requirements.

Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Job Type: Part-time/Hourly

Compensation: Competitive hourly rate

Working Hours: This position requires flexibility, including daytime, evening, and weekend shifts depending on event schedules.
