Triple Rock Brewing Company in Berkeley is seeking an experienced General Manager for its brewery & taphouse.

Triple Rock is widely known as America’s oldest, original brewpub specializing in hand-crafted house brews and classic American comfort foods.

Applicants with a strong background in brewpubs will be particularly well suited for this position. Only experienced Managers will be considered for this position. Qualified candidates may also be referred for management in our other pubs.

The ideal candidates:

Have had minimum 3 years General Management experience in a high volume craft brewpub with excellent references

Have high energy, strong organizational skills, excellent time management, and attention to detail

Have worked all front of the house positions in a brewpub, pub, or casual dining restaurant

Have the skills and temperament necessary to build teamwork and create a great working environment for employees

Are great trouble shooters and problem solvers who understand all restaurant equipment

Enjoy working on the floor and interacting with customers and employees

Are available to work days, evenings, weekends, and some holidays

Have POS knowledge with QR code ordering and wireless handhelds or similar. We currently use Toast POS.

Have comprehensive computer skills, Excel and Power Point especially

Social media savvy and awareness of industry trends

Creative ability to conceptualize relevant promotions and execute onsite promotional events

Working knowledge of restaurant and brewery financial industry standards

Have a comprehensive working knowledge of microbrewed beer styles and tasting profiles

Duties will include:

Opening or closing the pub

Floor management during all peak business periods

Improving the guest experience

The scheduling, service training, floor planning, and supervising of up to 50 employees

Team management with other FOH managers and Executive Chef

Daily sales reconciliation, reports, invoice management and banking

Purchase and ordering

Monthly beverage inventory tracking and controls

Semi-monthly Payroll/Sales reports/P&L

HR onboarding and compliance items

This is a full-time position 40-50 hours per week.
