The Tipsy Pig, an American Gastropub located in the Marina district of San Francisco, is seeking for a positive, detail-oriented & customer focused server who are passionate about providing a great restaurant experience and fun environment for our patrons. The position requires a great understanding of hospitality and what is required to welcome everyone with a gracious and friendly demeanor.

Responsibilities

-Take food and drink orders from customers accurately and with a positive attitude.

-Ensure food and beverage arrive to guests quickly and correctly; and confirming guest satisfaction

-Maintain the cleanliness of dining areas & assigned section

-Communicate respectfully with staff as necessary

-Complete all necessary opening and closing side-work according to standards and specifications set by the team in a timely and professional manner

-Responsibly serve alcoholic beverages

-Full knowledge of food and beverage menu items

-Cleaning, polishing and maintaining stock of bar glassware and service-ware

-Work cleanly and maintain organization during service

-Communicate efficiently and respectfully

-Effectively communicating service irregularities to all

-Full knowledge of restaurant food and beverage menus, and able to guide guests to best order

-Constantly pushing to creatively interpret positive guest relations and industry standards

-Adhere to Covid-19 related health and safety standards

Skills & Requirements

-Willing to train the right person but 2+ years of relevant experience preferred

-Exceptional communication, service, and floor skills

-Ability to work in an organized and meticulous manner with strong attention to small details

-Ability to adapt to changing systems inherent to a new restaurant

-Solution-focused, receptive to constructive criticism and general performance feedback

-Must have strong interest in food & wine, & the business of hospitality

-Covid-19 vaccination preferred, but not required

-Weekly open availability

Must Provide

-Food Handler certificate

-RBS/ABC certificate

-Physical Demands

The physical demands for this position are seeing, hearing, speaking, reaching, frequently lifting up to 25 pounds, occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds, sitting, standing, for 4 to 8 hours, bending, and moving intermittently during working hours. These physical requirements may be accomplished with or without reasonable accommodations.
