Brooklyn West Winery is an award-winning winery located in Jack London Square, Oakland. We specialize in handcrafted, small lot winemaking. With production based in Sonoma’s Alexander Valley, we source our grapes from some of the best vineyards in Northern California.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic wine lover who enjoys service and meeting new people to join the Brooklyn West tasting room team as a Tasting Room Ambassador. At Brooklyn West, we want our visitors to experience a seriously unpretentious place to hang out and enjoy wine and to learn and experience more about wine and the winemaking process.
Brooklyn West Tasting Room Ambassadors will work in partnership with other team members and our resident winemakers to develop memorable guest experiences and to meet or exceed individual sales revenue and wine club membership goals.
Sales experience a plus.
You do not need to be a wine expert! We are more than happy to teach as we go.

The job:
- Greet and be friendly with customers (good customer service is key!)
- Lead wine tastings and help guests select wines to bring home.
- Educate customers about - and sell - our wine and wine club memberships
- Communicate clearly with fellow staff
- Use our POS software (we will train on this).
- Perform routine housekeeping, organization, and stocking tasks
Qualifications:
Knowledgeable about wine OR enthusiastic about wine and quick to learn.
Experience in restaurant, wine, hospitality, or service industries preferred but not required
Sales experience a plus
Training provided
Must be available to consistently work on Thursday-Friday 4:30-9:30 + Saturday-Sunday 1:30-8:30pm or any 3 of those days
Demonstrated reliability and punctuality, work effectively in team/crew environment, adherence to all safety regulations and operating procedures
Able to stand for extended periods of time, and bend, lift, carry and rotate 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
Be at least 21 years of age
