Standard Fare is West Berkeley’s acclaimed restaurant (Chronicle top 100 restaurant, Eater 38 essential East Bay restaurant) serving fine dining, quickly done. We offer a small, eclectic, daily changing lunch and breakfast menu featuring the best seasonal ingredients the local markets offer. Everything is made in house with critical attention to flavor, execution, and presentation. AND we are opening for Dinner next month.

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, cook who will enjoy adding creative input, focus, detail, and organization to our daily fare. We are a tight-knit team that works hard, fast, and efficiently. Meeting our own, and our customer’s, high expectations of delicious food, quickly served, and beautifully presented is a daily goal. The schedule is 5 shifts a week, 3 day time : 8:00 am-4:00 pm, and 2 evening 2:30-10:30 weekly. Salary is hourly, $19+ (dependent on experience) + $8-$15 an hour tips = $27-$34 an hour. All tips are shared equally with the whole house. 2 acupuncture appointments a month. Full-time workers receive a health care stipend after three months.
