About us:
We are an artisan bakery in sunny Menlo Park. We began making sourdough bread out of a single dutch oven, and since then have expanded our product line to include a variety of naturally leavened breads, including baguettes, European-style ryes, challah, pain de mie, fougasse, other delicious baked goods (sourdough scones, giant cookies, muffins, cakes) and prepared foods (sandwiches, pizza).
Today, we are in about two dozen markets across the Peninsula, and recently opened our first brick-and-mortar locations in Downtown Menlo Park and Downtown Los Altos. We are a group of straight-forward, passionate and dedicated people, and are looking for similar-spirited people to join our team.
Position description:
We are looking for a baked goods enthusiast to help us sell at our flagship bakery in various farmers markets across the South Bay Area.
Candidates must be available both Saturday and Sunday as well as Tuesdays, Wednesdays and potentially Thursdays.
Two shifts are needed: morning shift runs from 7am to 2pm, afternoon shift runs from 2pm to 8pm.
Work locations are mostly South Bay (as far south as San Jose).

Responsibilities include:
· Serving as a "tour guide/travel agent": informing and exciting customers about our products, and pairing them with the baked goods and drinks best suited to them
· Thoroughly setting up and breaking down for service each shift.
· Communicating regularly with management about any needs, concerns or problems.
· Restocking products throughout the shift, and ensuring that products are displayed in a clean, clear, attractive fashion
· Recording sellout times, taking down leftovers, and reporting personal observations
· Cleanup at the end of the day—some bending and lifting required
This is a wonderful opportunity to sell products you can be proud of. The starting wage for this role is $18/hr, but with tips, sales staff normally make $25-$45 per hour, often on the higher end of that at this busy sales location.
