Seeking full-time Restaurant Manager for popular late-night bar in SF.

Our restaurant specializes in New York-style thin crust pizza, ranging from full meat to vegetarian and vegan options. Deep fried bar snacks, drinks, and even gluten-free crust options are available for our guest to order. We're looking for a dedicated and experienced Restaurant Manager to join our team - someone passionate about team leadership, customer service, and pizza!

Position Overview:

Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years experience in the service industry and be comfortable working late hours (typically to 12am or 1am), including occasional shifts which require staying 'til 3am.

This position offers the opportunity to lead a team of 6-8 employees in a fast-paced environment, ensuring the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

1. Operational Leadership - Oversee all aspects of pizza production and service, maintaining efficient workflows and ensuring adherence to company standards and procedures. Manage inventory, orders, and deliveries to optimize productivity and minimize waste.

2. Staff Management - Recruit, train, and supervise a team of kitchen staff and servers, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to support staff development and performance improvement.

3. Customer Service Excellence - Hold staff to high standards of customer service. Lead by example, greet guests warmly, address inquiries and concerns promptly, all to ensure a memorable dining experience for every customer.

4. Health and Safety Compliance - Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and sanitation standards. Implement and enforce proper food handling procedures, cleanliness protocols, and safety measures to protect both staff and customers.

5. Financial Management - Report on revenues and expenses. Monitor and manage budgets, expenses, and revenue targets to achieve profitability goals. Identify opportunities for cost-saving initiatives and revenue enhancement strategies.

6. Menu Development and Innovation - Collaborate with the culinary team to develop and update our pizza menu, incorporating fresh and innovative ingredients and seasonal offerings to delight our customers and drive sales.

7. Team Development - Foster a culture of teamwork, respect, and accountability among staff members. Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge and support career growth within the organization.

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the service industry, preferably in a pizza, restaurant, or bar environment.

- Comfortable working late hours, including shifts until 12am or 1am, and occasional overnight shifts until 3:00am.

- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.

- Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with a focus on efficiency and attention to detail.

- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen operations.

- Proficiency in inventory management, POS systems, and other relevant software applications.

Compensation:

$55,000-$75,000 per year (commensurate with experience and negotiable after trial period).
