The Hops Shop in Capitola is seeking enthusiastic and service-oriented Beertenders to join our team! We're looking for someone who's passionate about craft beer and possesses exceptional people skills to create an enjoyable experience for our guests. Candidates must be 21+
Responsibilities:
-Provide craft beer knowledge and excellent customer service.
-Learn and display knowledge of our rotating craft beer selection.
-Prepare and serve beverages and small appetizers to patrons in a timely and professional manner.
-Operate the point of sale system and handle transactions.
-Maintain a clean and organized bar area to provide a welcoming environment.
-Check identification to ensure customers are of legal drinking age.
-Comply with all food and beverage regulations.
Qualifications and Skills:
-Prior experience in the craft beer industry is a plus but not necessary.
-Outstanding people skills with a friendly, engaging, and hospitable personality.
-Confidence in educating and discussing beer options with novices and enthusiasts alike.
-Able to think on their feet and handle a fast-paced work environment.
-Energetic and proactive with a commitment to excellent customer service.
-Ability to be on your feet for extended periods of time.
